#06 Ndodo

The most difficult, but most magical well created.

Before the COVID-19 pandemic happened in March 2020, we visited to search for new locations and communities in need of help and access to clean drinking water.

In this journey, we visited Ndodo, an isolated village in the outskirts of Malawi. When arriving to the location, it was clear to us how difficult it would be to create a well for the people of its community. At the beginning, we were told the conditions were not good to start with the construction of a water installation there, however, just as we were getting ready to leave, we were able to meet a group of women returning from a long walk to fetch water.

They explained that mothers and daughters had to walk for about 4 hours EVERY DAY to find water to survive.

This conversation changed everything. They explained that mothers and daughters had to walk for about 4 hours EVERY DAY to find water to survive, keeping them from any other personal and essential tasks such as education, work or enjoyment. Searching for water was their normal life.

In December of 2020, we finalized our 6th water well changing the lives of 343 people. Water is life: education, income and health - especially for women and children. We look forward to travelling to Malawi to inaugurate Ndodo’s well and see how having access to clean water has impacted the lives of its community.

Thanks to your contribution, we are able to make a difference. Together we've been able to create or support 6 community projects in Africa and help over 2500 people to have access to clean drinking water.

We are all in this together!
